Peter & Ingrid Czichomski

Baby Boomer Entrepreneurs

World traveling Baby Boomers, Peter & Ingrid Czichomski, moved to Lafayette, Louisiana, from Miami in December 1996. They fell in love with the Cajun people, and finally truly settled down in 2001, by buying their very first home in the small town of Carencro, North of Lafayette.

Peter & Ingrid then decided to pursue their long time dream, and open their first entrepreneurial business: Euro Breads L. L. C. After 3 years of many trials and tribulations, Euro Breads opened its doors on September 9th 2005, in The Village of Gloria Switch shopping center, at 201 W. Gloria Switch Road, Lafayette. Peter, a German Professional Seaman and Merchant Marine, had grown tired of working 3 to 6 month voyages on large international vessels. He also really missed fine European breads, so, he learned to bake them himself. Peter now sells them to customers near, and as far as Baton Rouge and New Orleans! He prepares his freshly baked breads every morning, along with mouth-watering pastries!

Ingrid Lemke Czichomski, former teacher and Volunteer Coordinator at the local free clinic for the working uninsured, was born and raised in Haiti, so French is her first language. She loves people, and will greet you cheerfully, and help you with your purchases, or assist you in putting together a gift basket for client, family, or friend.

Proverb translation: "Unity makes Strength"
Euro Breads has become one of the best kept secrets of the North side of town. Once you taste the crusty artisan breads, you won't want any other kind of bread ever again. These breads are not only tastier but healthier for you, as they contain no bleached flour, additives, nor preservatives; plus are low in sugar. Enjoy French, Multigrain, Bavarian Rye, Sourdough, Italian, Ciabatta, Muesli, and Broetchen - to name a few.

Feast on meat filled croissants and puff pastries (great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner); assorted sweet pastries, and even a sugar-free muffin! Savor the upscale New Orleans Javarama Coffee, or a Frozen Cappuccino (in French Vanilla or Mocha with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and a cherry on top). Buy imported European packaged Pumpernickel bread, cakes, sugar-free chocolates (sweetened with fructose), and other delights. In ancient times, to give a basket of breads as a housewarming gift was believed to insure that the recipient's pantry would always be full. A basket of breads still makes a unforgetably thoughtful gift today!
